My
family and I had a great time on our trip to Disneyland in 2011 and
2012. We have never been to Disneyland during the holiday season so we
wanted to go and check it out. We left on our trip to Disneyland on
December 26th and we returned home on January 2nd. My family and I drove
to Disneyland last month. We wanted to leave at 9am but didn't leave
until after 10am. First, we ran an errand at the post office. Got some
brunch at Mcdonald's and got some goodies at a gas station. After the
gas station we got on I-15 and headed for Southern California. My niece
Alyssa slept on me for over an hour on our way to Disneyland. We made
pretty good time until we hit Las Vegas. We started playing the game
Catch Phrase in the car just before we got to Las Vegas. We had a good
time playing Catch Phrase in the car. We stopped in Las Vegas to go to
Savers. After Savers we ate dinner at Mcdonald's. After dinner we drove
down the Las Vegas strip to show my nieces. We got to watch the volcano
go off at The Mirage from our car. After the strip we got back on I-15
and headed for our motel in Anaheim,Ca. While we were driving on the
freeway we got stuck in traffic for 2 hours. We got stuck in it from
Primm to Bakersfield. We got to our motel in Anaheim at 11:30pm. We
would have gotten to our motel at 8pm or 9pm if we didn't get stuck in
traffic. For the past 2 years we have seemed to get stuck in traffic on
our way to Disneyland and not on our way home. When we were at our motel
that night we figured out that our motel used to be Red Roof Inn where
my family and I stayed at in 2005. Now, it's Motel 6 and they remodeled
all of the rooms. When we were there in 2005 our room was on the bottom
floor. When we stayed there last month our room was on the 4th floor.
On December 27th was our first day at Disneyland on this trip. We got
to Disneyland a little bit after 12pm. First we ate lunch at Red
Rocket's Pizza Port. I got their Asian Chicken Salad for lunch that day
and it was so yummy. Our first ride we went on was Space Mountain and
waited in line for 2 hours. I think that is the longest I have waited in
line for a ride in a long time. In the evening we went over to
California Adventures for a couple of hours. We went on Tower of Terror,
It's Tough to be a Bug, The Littler Mermaid and Toy Story Mania. We
went to Denny's for dinner that night.
On December 28th we spent the whole day at Disneyland. We went on Buzz
Lightyear, Autopias, Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash
Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion and Star Tours. I
think we also went on Space Mountain and Captain EO that day too.
On December 29th we went to Disneyland from 8:30am until midnight. We
went on Star Tours, Sleeping Beauty Castle walk through, Splash
Mountain, The Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain,
Buzz Lightyear, Matterhorn and Indiana Jones. I know we went on some
more rides that day but the ones I just mentioned I took pictures of. We
also watched a little bit of Fantasmic that day.
On December 30th we took this day off and relaxed. I woke up in the
morning feeling crappy. I started getting sick this day with post nasal
drip. In the afternoon I went out to lunch with my friend Brandie and
her Grandma at the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney. It was my first
time to Downtown Disney. I had a great time visiting with my friend
Brandie that day even though I didn't feel good. In the evening my
family and I went swimming. I sat in the hot tub for a while while my
nieces and my brother went swimming. It felt so nice to sit in the hot
tub and relax. After swimming my niece Alyssa and I watched the
Disneyland fireworks from our motel room and they were really good. I
wanted to take pictures of the fireworks but my battery was charging.
For dinner that night we got take out from Wendy's and Popeye's. We went
to bed early that night so we could get to Disneyland early in the
morning for Magic Mornings.
On December 31st we went to Disneyland and California Adventures for
New Year's Eve. We were there from 7:30am until 1am. I woke up that
morning at 5:30am and was awake until 2am that day. When we got to
Disneyland we went on Star Tours, Space Mountain, Autopias, Buzz
Lightyear. Then we went to California Adventures and went on Tower of
Terror 3 times in a row, ate lunch and went on Grizzly River Rapids.
Then, we went back over to Disneyland and went on Big Thunder Mountain,
Matterhorn, It's a Small World, Gadget's Go Coaster, Splash Mountain,
Monorail, Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain, saw the fireworks go off in
the fog by Big Thunder Mountain and went on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Then, we went back over to California Adventures to watch the New Year's
Eve firework show. When we got to California Adventures we went to
Flynn's to play some video games and checked out Electronica while we
were there. Then, we went on Tower of Terror and then watched the New
Year's Eve firework show. After the firework show was over we got to
watch a little bit of World of Color. After that I went on The Little
Mermaid ride while the rest of the my family went shopping. I met up
with them at one of the stores and then we walked back to our motel.
On January 1st we checked out of our motel a little bit after 11am. We
got some lunch at Jack in the box. After lunch we got on the freeway
and headed for Las Vegas. We stopped in Las Vegas for a little while and
to go to Savers. After Savers we got back on the freeway and headed for
Mesquite. We were going to spend the night in Mesquite but when we
called them they said that they had a water leek so we couldn't spend
the night there. So, we spent the night at Red Cliffs Inn in St. George.
On January 2nd we checked out of our motel at 11am. We got some lunch
and headed for Orem. We stopped in Orem to go to Savers. After shopping
at Savers we went to Jamba Juice. After Jamba Juice we got back on the
freeway and headed for home. We got home at almost 7pm. I had a great
time on this trip to Disneyland except for being on that wonderful time
of the month and getting sick with post nasal drip. I went to see my
doctor a couple of days later and found out that I was sick with
bronchitis. I will be posting the pictures that I took on this trip on
